Inspired by Debbie’s post about The Grand Budapest Hotel, here is a short video that shows how symmetry is integral to the aesthetic in specific scenes throughout Anderson’s body of work . I saw GPH this past weekend as well, and if you’re looking for joy mixed with the pain of seeing what might once have been opulent worn down to bare threads, you might like it too.
